Call the Kid

This episode of Call the Kid comes from the good ol' Jersey Shore! Fall brings us starlings, cider, acorns, the depart of Bennys (those are some of my personal favorites). And this Fall I was lucky enough to be graced with a visit from our old pal Lindsey. Join us as we delve into Asbury Park's flaming subculture scene. My dear friend and Asbury Park resident, Koryn, accompanies us this week as we bring you interviews from Divas fresh off the Drag Show floor. Lindsey and I even bring you back to our cozy cottage in Ocean Grove for a soak. Muster up your estrogen, Biddy St. Biddy, we're shriekin and lovin and guilt-free dancin all night all night at the Empress leather extravaganza.

This is the complementing video podcast to our July 3rd episode (though now I'm a little confused about the date).

Lindsey and I were kicked out of the house and to the dissatisfaction of our landlords drunk in the AM. We ran around town (where we found a confessional on the street for bulk pick-up) in our summertime clothes on a hunt for Nutella. On the porch we podcasted.

After a lovely pre-holiday reunion in Ithaca, Liza and I decided it just wasn't right to end the weekend without a podcast. Here, after a long night of partying, we reconvene to discuss in minute detail what it truly means to be a man, and who, if anyone, actually is a man.

Meet Uncle Jim, research forest products technologist for the USDA Forest Service Southern Research Station unit in Blacksburg, VA. He studies "ramps" (wild leeks, Allium Tricoccum). This is who I'm spending my post Xmas season with. This is what I learned today.

From July 12th after a three piece band performance of '25 or 6 to 4' and broadcasted from the roof of 403 S. Cayuga is the first entry in Rodney's Journal! This was his first experience in the great outdoors only 3.5 short months ago. Now look where that's gotten him- abscesses and hundreds of dollars in doctor bills!

Just a couple highlights from our third of July festivities: including Jordan sharing some of his sexual weaknesses (there IS a movie that goes along with this portion- look forward to that making its way up) and Reece and Lindsey- without discussion or explanation- slurring through the refrain of Crocodile Rock... perhaps making this my favorite yet.
